Lake Lizzie Preserve - BTDT - Nature

Lake Lizzie preserve is located in St Cloud FL off Old Melbourne Hwy, there is no entrance fee. This was the first hike we had ever been on, we decided to go here because St Cloud is familiar to me and I had never been to this park. When you first pull in, you park in the dirt patch next to a fenced yard with horses. before you even get to the entrance of the trail, you walk along a dirt/rock path for a good quarter mile. The first thing we came to was a tiny pond just through the trees (on out first hike we were wandering off the trail). Then we came to a sink hole which was cool to see. The hole was full of grass and the surrounding area was covered in nice white sand. There was enough diversity in this park to get us interested in hiking, it was a great first hike.
