We went to Lake Marion Creek right after Disney Wilderness Preserve. We knew from Sandra Friend’s book that this hike was near the Disney one but we couldn’t find it on out GPS and only 1 person that worked at the Disney site had hear about Lake Marion. We had the worst time trying to find it. The girl from Disney gave us directions, we finally found it off a side road somewhere in the middle of nowhere. There was only enough parking for 3 cars and you had to park off to the side half way in the ditch. We parked our car and went through the gate. There was some interesting wildlife at this park, we got to see a possum, some armadillo, gators, a snake, and even though we didn’t get to see any, there were signs of hogs. We have been seeing a lot of dug up dirt in the parks we go to and we finally found out, it’s hogs looking for food. It was scary knowing we could run into them at any time. I think this hike was worth all the trouble trying to find it.
