Orlando Wetlands - BTDT - Nature

Orlando Wetlands Park, located in Christmas FL, is my favorite hike so far. It is connected to a water treatment center where all the treated water flows into the center of this hike to create a pond for animals and plants to flourish in. The park itself has over 20 miles of trails you can walk through.We walked just one trail which was close to a mile long since it was getting late and we stopped on a whim. The hike was beautiful, the sun was glistening on the water in the middle and they had benches along the water to sit and relax. At one point, they have a place where you can cut the trail in half by taking a small patch of land across. There was water on either side of us and as we walked, we find out, there were gators as well. There were no fences or way of protection but the gators were so used to people, when we got close they just slid into the water, it was an interesting experience. They don’t have an entrance fee so you get all this fun for free.
